Ready the Pilgrimage!
He woke up late in a place he knew he wasn't supposed to be. This wasn't his house in Tadotsu... "Where am I?" he thought. Quickly he rushed into the next room to awaken his friend and inform him of their soon to be tardiness. Quickly they threw things together in a hustle and bustle to get out the door as quickly as possible. Time was of the essence as soon the both of them would embark upon a journey spanning several different temples. Amazing journeys couldn't be started on an empty stomach; however, and they decided that eating about eight oranges a piece wasn't a bad idea.
Next came the train. Ah, the train. Trains are a wonderful thing when they're on time and don't suffer horrendous delays. Sitting in the Eki wondering if their train would ever get there; it had occurred to the two journeymen that they might not make it on time. The train comes. The train stops....and stays. For twenty minutes in only one location. Now, sitting in the train absolutely convinced that there are other forces beyond their control trying to rule over their own destiny, our heroes think that it would probably be okay to down the biggest bottles of water they can find, which to their dismay would only mean twenty five bathroom breaks later.
ARRIVAL! And...DISAPPOINTMENT! Not disappointment in the soon to be had journey but in the fact that they are SO late that they've definitely already missed their friends and quite possibly any chance they have at catching them. However...it seems the forces keeping them away from the pilgrimage are now combating with forces working in favor of our heroes. Waiting at the train station for lord only knows how long an incredibly polite and accommodating man was ready to take us to our next destination. Off they go! Leaping ahead of the rest of the group they fly out of the van and shed all evidence of the foreigners they used to be. Throwing on blinding sheets of white, a brilliant hat, and now donning a totally baller walking stick; the heroes are now henroers. Embarketh the journey...
