Handmade Valentine's Cards!

In the evening on February 13th, the day before Valentine's Day, I held a workshop on hand-made Valentine's Day cards as a topic for an International Understanding Class.
I explained the origins of this holiday and some of the differences between Valentine's Day in the U.S. and Japan.  Then, I showed the participants my design for a "Secret Message" Valentine card.  The students gave it a shot and really got into making their cards. Before the class began, NHK came by to do a story about the event.  Thanks to the friendly announcer and NHK staff, I was able to broadcast a message about Valentine's Day to everyone in Kagawa - but it made me really nervous to stand in front of the camera and bright lights! val2.JPG
