Participants in the East Asia Future Leaders Programme Came to Kagawa(1)

Young people from 15 countries came to the prefecture for the East Asia Future Leaders Programme(Youth Exchage), run by the Japan Foundation.

 The participants who visited Kagawa on this four day program were teachers in the field of environmenntal education and members of NPOs and NGOs dealing with environmental problems. Through lectures on the environment and study trips to see facilities for processing industrial waste, the group of participants deepened their understanding of the ways that people are dealing with the environment in Japan.

The participants heard a lecture from the Director of the Environmental Management Division. Expressing deep interest in Kagawa's environment, the participants actively asked many questions of the Director.
