The 63rd Annual Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon was held on February 1, 2009. Both on that day and on the previous day, I had the opportunity to interact with the athletes who were invited to run from abroad. I translating for them at their press conference, where I was so impressed to see all of the invited athletes lined up on stage. I was a little bit nervous to translate in front of all the cameras and members of the press, but the conference finished without any major problems. The day of the race, I was even more impressed to see the invited athletes in their excellent performances. There were those who won their division and those who ran their personal bests that day, yet all of the invited athletes from abroad were extremely kind and easy to talk to.
