Courtesy visit from the Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany with the Governor (September 24th)
The Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany visited Kagawa and had a courtesy visit with the governor. He gave a lecture titled " The Twenty Year Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall."
This was his first official visit to Kagawa, but he privately visited here thirty years ago.
He knows about Kagawa well thanks to the information through the Japan-Germany Association Kagawa.
The Governor talked about his memories of driving through Germany and experiencing the disparity between West Berlin and East Berlin when they were divided by the Wall. Nowadays, there are more new buildings in East Berlin.
Conversation flourished and they talked about many things. A commemorative photo was taken at the end.
