KJ200710: Walking the Streets of Sanuki in Autumn (2/4)

Camping under the stars ~ Mt. Otaki (Shionoe Town)

Mt. Otaki is a 946m peak located in the Sanuki Mountains near the border with Tokushima. Known for its beech forest and variety of wild birdlife, from mid, until the end of November is the best time to enjoy autumn leaves there. On the westward slope alongside a mountain stream there is a spacious campsite named “Otakisan Kenmin Ikoi no Mori”. It is a wonderful place to enjoy a barbeque with friends and awaken to the chirps of wild birds the next morning.
・Access: By car, about 1 hour from Takamatsu City Centre
Heading towards Tokushima from the Naiba dam in Shionoe Town, take the “Hitotsuuchi”
