Why not take a Bento lunch and try taking a hike on a
cool, fine Autumn day? Here are some recommended hiking spots in Kagawa:
Autumn-leaf Viewing Hike~Kankakei Gorge(Shodoshima)
On the island of Shodoshima, floating in the Seto Inland Sea, you can find the Kankakei Gorge, famous for its beauty and fine autumn leaves. From the end of October until the end of November, it is covered in red and yellow autumn leaves. From the “Utsukushinohara Plateau” area, the autumn leaves spread to Mt Kankakei and as autumn deepens, towards the base of the mountain.
If you ride the ropeway you can enjoy the view over the Seto Inland Sea.
From the Mt Kankakei Plaza, if you take the road through the trees heading east past Mt Mikasa, about 45minutes later you will arrive at Mt. Hoshigajo, which has a glorious view.
