On the second day, the ambassadors visited Sakura Seisakusho, the only place in Japan licensed to produce the furniture of George Nakashima.

Also, they visited the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, which was both the residence and studio of the international sculptor during his later years, and is now open to the public.

After eating Kagawa's local specialty, Sanuki Udon noodles, the ambassadors went to Naoshima by boat. During their crossing on the water, they observed the illegal industrial waste dumping site on Teshima Island and after that they observed the intermediate processing facilities at the Naoshima Environment Center for treating industrial waste from Teshima Island.

On the island of Noshima, afloat on the Inland Sea, the ambassadors viewed works of art by Claude Monet, Walter De Maria, and James Turrell at the Chichu Art Museum, a place built for contemplating the relationship between people and nature.
