The Ambassadors' Study Tour was held in Kagawa Prefecture(1)
On the first day, the ambassadors visited Kotohira-gu Shrine, known for its deity, which protects the sea. They also visited Ritsurin Park, a strolling garden regarded as a "National Treasure Garden." Here, they also observed a demonstration on the making of Marugame Uchiwa Fans and Lacquerware, two of Kagawa's traditional indusitrial arts.
Kotohira-gu Shrine:
After viewing the "Kotohira-gu Shrine Folding Screen Exhibition" in the Front Shoin (or drawing room), we climbed the long flight of stone steps and arrived at the Main Shrine.
Ritsurin Park:
With the Japanese Garden as a backdrop, the ambassadors took a memorial picture.

From the Kikugetsu-tei Tea House, they enjoyed the view of the Engetsu Bridge in the South Pond.
