ALTs who came to Kagawa on JET program and who teaches English at elementary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools experienced calligraphy as a cross-cultural understanding on the second day of the seminar. This seminar is held every winter. In the morning, they tried to make Shikishi and Hanko made of an erazer after learning basic knowledge. In the afternoon, they made a work using cork boards and table sheets and acrylic paint.
Mr. Obika, lecturer

First of all, they learned the basic strokes such as horizontal strokes, vertical strokes, Harai strokes.

He taught carefully, holding the brush together.

Some ALTs felt it difficult to make Hanko(seal).
