Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami Information
On Friday March 11, 2011, there was a massive earthquake
in the Tohoku region. We mourn the many people who lost their
lives and offer our condolences to the multitudes of suffering families.
We also wish for the fastest possible recovery for all of the many victims.

Thank you sincerely for your great efforts toward donation fundraising activities, which were held until April 30th.
The donations that you raised (30,303 JPY) were sent to the Japanese Red Cross Society Kagawa Prefectural Chapter on May 6, 2011.
At this point we would like to introduce disaster related information
we think will be useful for foreigners and those proving assistance
to foreigners.
Regarding the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami
・Kagawa Radiation Level Information
Currently radiation level in Kagawa are within the normal range
so there is no need for concern (0.051~0.077 mircosieverts).
We will make announcements should irregular levels be discovered.

The Multilingual support center for the Tohoku Earthquake out at Pacific ocean decided to terminate provision of new information and operation of hotline on April 28.

is something that we often hear. In particular, it is recommended
that members of government install the following tools and
understand the contents and operating methods BEFORE a disaster
occurs.
You can download the following three tools from this site.
(1) Multilingual Display Sheet Creation Tool
With this tool, you can provide written instructions regarding
disaster shelters and other useful information regarding disasters.
(2) Multilingual Information Creation Tool for Mobile Phones
This is a tool used for the creation of simple messages containing
disaster information, living information, information on aftershocks etc.,
to be sent to mobile phones at times of disaster.
(3) Multilingual Audio Information Creation Tool
This is a tool used for creation of audio messages to provide disaster
information or warnings, etc., to disaster victims in the event of a disaster.
