On Aug. 28, three members of the Kagawa Prefectural Government held a seminar in Haiphong City, Vietnam concerning the topic of Administrative Reform in and Attracting Businesses to Kagawa. This seminar is one of the international cooperation projects that Kagawa Prefecture conducts in Haiphong city with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA.)

On the morning of February 13^th, I participated in an intercultural activity at Takamatsu Chuo Elementary School as one of three CIRs from different countries. 

   The 63^rd Annual Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon was held on February 1, 2009.  Both on that day and on the previous day, I had the opportunity to interact with the athletes who were invited to run from abroad.  I translating for them at their press conference, where I was so impressed to see all of the invited athletes lined up on stage.  I was a little bit nervous to translate in front of all the cameras and members of the press, but the conference finished without any major problems.  The day of the race, I was even more impressed to see the invited athletes in their excellent performances.  There were those who won their division and those who ran their personal bests that day, yet all of the invited athletes from abroad were extremely kind and easy to talk to.
