Halloween

Halloween.jpgOn October 31, 2008, I helped conduct an "All English Halloween" event at Busshōzan Elementary School with Ms. Coco, the English teacher there.  We exchanged Halloween greetings, sang Halloween songs, and ended with "Trick-or-Treating," and the students really enjoyed it.  The best thing about this party was that everyone spoke nothing but English.  After seeing this, I thought, "Wow, this school's students and teachers really have a great desire for English learning and internationalization!"  I had a great time!

On the last day, the ambassadors viewed the Art House (Ie) Project, one of the artistic projects on Naoshima, where artists have repaired old houses and made their interiors works of art.

On the second day, the ambassadors visited Sakura Seisakusho, the only place in Japan licensed to produce the furniture of George Nakashima.

From October 15th through October 17th, a group of 28 people, consisting of the ambassadors from 17 different countries plus family members, came to Kagawa and enjoyed touring the early autumn roads through Sanuki.
H.E. Mr. Philippe FAURE, the French ambassador to Japan, and his wife visited Kagawa prefecture for the first time as the official inspection tour after he assumed his position.
