After a successful first round during the last session of International Understanding Courses, I held the 2nd "Eigo de Utawa Night!" English Karaoke Class at I-PAL Kagawa.  We all sang famous English songs that you can find at any karaoke facility.  The program mostly included songs by artists who were popular during the 1960s, such as Elvis, Simon & Garfunkel, and Louis Armstrong.  Since we all got caught up in the fun of the songs, the class seemed to finish in a flash.  For the next session, I think I'd like to continue the fun at a karaoke box for a second round of singing afterward!

On September 10, 2009, the CIRs at the International Affairs Division and I-PAL got to serve as DJs for the weekly radio program, "Come On I-PAL," which airs every Sunday evening at 8:55 p.m.  On September 10th, I introduced on this show some helpful information and advice aimed at foreign residents regarding measures for dealing with disasters.  Because natural disasters like earthquakes and typhoons can occur any time in Japan, I hope that the foreign residents living in Kagawa might be able to know more and prepare themselves just in case.
